Previous comments of "easy" and "cheesy" sum it up well :-) It's not bad at all, it's certainly not literature, it's just the thing if you're in the mood for this sort of thing. I did not try any recipes.

This is a series of books that centre around Hannah who is a baker. The stories are about murder, however, it is very light. Alot of humor. And the best part is, you get all kinds of cookie recipes, many of them I have tried and are really good. The endings are usually a little cheesy, but still worth the read.

A light mystery with several recipes, mostly of cookies with lots of butter. Hannah Swensen owns The Cookie Jar in a small town in Minnesota, and she helps her boyfriend Mike solve a murder. Humor is provided by her mother's efforts to get her married and by her battle with her cat over a down pillow. Plot is well done, and the small town atmosphere is delightful. This is the first I've read of this series, and I'll read another when I'm in the mood for something easy.
