I absolutely love the Skulduggary Pleasant series! There is a grand total of 13 books in this series and I am dismayed that our libraries only carry three! If you enjoy Skulduggary and Stephanie's adventures as much as I please let our libraries know so we can all enjoy more adventures!!

Do Panic. Their Coming. Skulduggery Pleasant: The Faceless Ones (alternate title Skulduggery Pleasant 3) is the 3rd book in the series. The description of the book on the jacket warns that this book isn’t like the first 2, and unlike them everything will not be alright in the end. More of a direct sequel from Playing with Fire than Playing with Fire was for Sceptre of the Ancients; it involves many of the new supporting characters introduced in the 2nd book, including Billy-Ray Sanguine and his secret employer. Someone is murdering teleporters, which is extremely hard due to their ability to teleport away from assassins. Skulduggery and Valkerye must find out why and how they are being killed, while being opposed by the Thurid Guild-led Sanctuary and new detective, Remus Crux. A new main character is introduced, the natural teleporter Fletcher Renn. The Diablerie, a group previously led by China Sorrows that now includes Gruesome Krav, Murderer Rose, Jaron Gallow, and Billy-Ray and is led by the mysterious Batu have a plot to bring back the faceless ones. A side plot involves the relationship between Valkarye and Stephanie, and the continued blank spots in her reflection's memory. The Faceless Ones has the same dark, sarcastic humour as the first 2 books, and as the description of the book wars, everything is not alright in the end, setting up the plot of the next book, Dark Days.
