this book is very good about a young star that was viewed as a outcast. but she finds happiness in the end.

By the time Steel wrote "Star", it was evident that she herself was a "Star" in the 'romance-novel' field. That being a given, it is a shame her editor didn't help her out a bit more. The main characters started out strong, yet faltered to the absurd. Nevertheless, an enjoyable read taking us to Steel's favorite state, California.
