Canada-centric history of the Battle for the Rhineland. Covers startegy, personalities, topography, weather conditions, skirmishes - as planned and as exexuted, resourcing, and individual stories of heroism. That is quite a lot to accomplish! Readers should reference the appendices early and frequently so that they understand the different levels of military organization of which he speaks - armies, corps, groups, divisions, brigades, companies, regiments, and platoons. Very important to appreciate the strengths of the group of which one reads. I am on to another of the author's books.
