Summary

Margaret Simon, age eleven moves from New York to New Jersey. She is trying to find a religion but through out the book, she talks to God about what is happening in her life. She meets a neighbor girl and this helps with the new school. She joins a secret club with three friends with rules that include wearing a bra, telling the others when they get their periods and listing the boys they like. During the school year, Margaret learns about family, religion, boys, and finding that people aren't always what they seem.
