Huge Disappointment. After enjoying almost everything written by W.E.B. Griffin, this one written by his son according to the copyright page with Library of Congress information, was fairly terrible. I could almost hear the monotone in each descriptive phrase that went, "adverb-adjective-noun" over and over... such as "really annoying description". Also, for some reason this author needed to provided a detailed description of every new character's skin color, which seemed very strange. Why would the reader even want to have an expert evaluation of everyone's exact skin tone?... - really odd. The story built up, and then it was over suddenly without the usual quality rendering of the execution of a mission or a dramatic action sequence that one normally receives from a Griffin novel. It was just... pffft and it was over... -disappointing in the extreme. If you've developed an appreciation for the original novels by W.E.B. Griffin, this will be one that you could miss.
